Fix or improve the website you already have
Something broken, slow, or missing? I find the cause and fix it, without a rebuild unless one is really needed. You get the price before any work starts.
What I fix
Something is broken
A contact or booking form that stopped sending, pages that error or look wrong on phones, a checkout that fails, or a feature that used to work.
It’s slow
Pages that take too long on a phone, heavy images, too many plugins or apps, and the speed issues that cost you visitors and search rankings.
Tools don’t talk to each other
Connecting booking, payments, email lists, calendars, or other services you already pay for, so nobody re-types anything.
Your platform can’t do it
Back-end changes and custom features your theme or website builder doesn’t offer on its own.
Platforms: WordPress, Squarespace, Wix, Shopify, Custom-coded sites.
Replacing your booking, scheduling, and invoicing tools altogether? See the back office (early access).
Repair or rebuild?
Most sites need a fix, not a new site. I suggest a rebuild only when it’s clearly the better deal: when fixing would cost close to a new site, when the platform can’t do what your business needs, or when the whole site has fallen behind.
If it does come to that, a rebuild keeps what works and carries your search rankings across. See custom website design and rebuilds.
How a fix works
Tell me what’s wrong
A few lines and your website address are enough. Screenshots help if you have them.
I take a look
Within one business day I reply with what’s likely causing it and how many hours I expect it to take.
You approve the price
Nothing is changed until we’ve agreed the price or an hour cap in writing.
I fix it and test it
On phones and desktop, then I show you what changed. If something needs more time than agreed, I ask first.
What it costs
$100 to $150 per hour, depending on the work, with the hours agreed before I start.
Small fix (about 2 to 5 hours)
$200 to $800
Medium change (about 5 to 15 hours)
$500 to $2,300
Larger project (about 15 to 40 hours)
$1,500 to $6,000
Typical ranges from my pricing page, where you can build an estimate. Hours are confirmed after I look at the site.
Questions about repairs
What access will you need?
Admin or collaborator access to the site, and sometimes to your hosting or domain settings. You need to own the site or have the owner’s OK. You keep ownership of everything, and you can remove my access when the work is done.
Will you tell me to rebuild instead?
Only when it’s really the better deal. If the platform still fits your business and the problem is contained, I fix it. A rebuild makes sense when fixing would cost close to a new site, when the platform can’t do what you need, or when the whole site has fallen behind.
Can you work on a site someone else built?
Yes, whether it was built by another designer, a past employee, or from a website builder template.
What happens after the fix?
Nothing, unless you want more. If you’d like someone keeping the site updated, backed up, and monitored, care plans start at $49 a month.
I don’t publish repair work without the owner’s permission. The example builds and working demos show the standard I build and fix to; their businesses are fictional.
Tell me what needs fixing
Your website address and a few lines about the problem are enough. I’ll reply within one business day.
