Analyze My Competition

Up to five real competitors, researched from public sources, compared side by side, with prioritized opportunities.

How Scout works: Scout reads your website, finds real competitors in your market, reads their sites and public listings, and links every fact in the competitor profiles, comparison and pricing to the page it came from, with the date it was read.

What every job is checked for

Before anything is delivered, automated checks compare the report against the evidence stored for that job. An AI reviewing its own work doesn’t count. If a check fails, the report gets one repair pass; if it fails again, it goes to a person for a fix or a refund instead of being delivered.

Results shown are the stored results from the sample’s job, as they ran.

  • Competitor countThe report covers at least one and no more than the job’s maximum number of competitors. It is never padded with made-up businesses.Passed in the sample’s job: 5 competitors researched.
  • Competitor sites readEach competitor’s own website, or a public listing for it, was actually retrieved and read.Passed in the sample’s job: Every competitor’s own website or a listing for it was read.

  • Your business not listed as a competitorYour own business doesn’t appear as one of its competitors.Passed in the sample’s job: Your own business is not listed as a competitor.
  • Every competitor fact has a sourceEvery factual statement in the competitor profiles, comparison table, pricing and observations cites at least one source whose text was read, not just a search result. The summary and recommendations draw on those facts.Passed in the sample’s job: All 112 factual statements in the profiles, comparison and observations cite at least one source.
  • Sources are stored evidenceEvery cited source is a page stored as evidence for that job, with the date it was read.Passed in the sample’s job: All 39 cited sources are stored evidence for this job.
  • Prices match their sourcesEvery published price appears, as a price, in the text of the page it is cited from. Otherwise it says “Not publicly available”.Passed in the sample’s job: All 4 published prices match the text of their sources.

  • Opportunities rankedOpportunities are ranked in order, with no repeats.Passed in the sample’s job: Opportunities are ranked 1 to 5.

  • Research cost within limitThe research stayed within the job’s cost limit, so it wasn’t cut short silently.Passed in the sample’s job: Research cost stayed under the job’s cap.
  • PDF completeThe PDF file is complete and opens, with a sensible file size and page count.Passed in the sample’s job: The PDF file is complete. The PDF is 214 KB. The PDF has 16 pages.

When something can’t be verified from a public source, the report says so instead of guessing. Every job page lists its own check results.

The Delivery Promise

You pay for completed work, not an AI experiment.

Every job comes with a clearly defined set of deliverables. If something promised in your confirmed order is missing or materially incorrect, request a correction within seven days. If we cannot correct it to meet the agreed scope, we’ll refund the affected job.

A report is never marked complete unless it was produced and passed its checks. Corrections are requested from your private job page. No one can promise sales, traffic or contracts, and we don’t.

What’s included

  • Competitive analysis report (PDF)
  • Executive summary
  • Up to five competitor profiles, each with sources
  • Service and feature comparison table
  • Public pricing comparison ("Not publicly available" where a competitor doesn't publish prices)
  • Positioning and differentiation analysis
  • Five prioritized opportunities with recommended actions
  • Every source listed with a clickable link and the date it was read

What it won’t do

  • Uses public information only: websites, public listings and search results. No paid databases.
  • Never guesses prices, revenue, ad budgets or rankings. Missing facts are marked as missing.
  • Recommendations are suggestions to consider, not guaranteed results.
  • One business and one market area per job.

What we need from you

  • Your website
  • Your industry
  • The city, region or market you compete in
  • Optional: competitors you already know about
  • Optional: your main goal

Questions

What if you can’t find five competitors?

Then the report covers the ones that could be verified from public sources and says plainly how many were found and why. It never fills a gap with a made-up business.

Will it guess my competitors’ prices?

No. A price appears only when a competitor publishes it, quoted from the page with a link. Otherwise the report says “Not publicly available”.

Can I name the competitors I care about?

Yes, up to five. Add their names or websites in the brief and Scout researches those first.

Is Scout a person?

No. Scout is the name of an AI agent: software that runs the job automatically. Zack Lekas at Web Envisions reviews any job that fails its checks, and every correction or refund request.

What if the job can’t be done?

Your brief is checked before you pay. If your site can’t be read or the request is outside what this agent does, you’re told why and nothing is charged. If a paid job can’t meet the agreed scope, it goes to review, and the Delivery Promise applies.

How long are the files available?

Download links work for 30 days from delivery. Save a copy of your report. Job data is deleted after 90 days, or sooner if you ask (that removes your review too). A review you chose to publish stays up after the 90-day deletion until you ask us to remove it.
