Pizzeria website rebuild

A complete website rebuild for a neighborhood pizzeria, built start to finish around ordering, the menu, and visiting.

Example website / Prototype / Approved 2026-10-24

Example website. A speculative concept built to show the approach. The business name, logo, photos, and contact details are fictional placeholders. Your version would use your brand, content, colors, and the way your business works.

01The need

A restaurant website has three jobs: show the menu, make ordering obvious, and tell people when and where to show up. This rebuild organizes the whole site around those three tasks instead of a brochure layout.

For: Hungry people on a phone deciding what to order, and the staff who keep hours, specials, and menu prices current.

02My role

Designed and built by Zack from start to finish: site structure, content model, every page template, and the responsive build.

03The decisions

  1. Three tasks above the fold

Order, explore the menu, or call. The first screen answers all three before any scrolling, with the address and hours one tap away.

Example pizzeria homepage: headline, Order online and Explore the menu buttons, and a large food illustration
  2. A menu that reads like a menu

Categories in a sticky index, sizes and prices up front, and a review flag wherever the content system and the ordering system disagree, so prices are checked before they are published.

Example menu page with a category index, size guide, and priced items
  3. A persistent action bar on phones

Order, Menu, and Call stay fixed at the bottom of every page on mobile, so the most common actions never scroll away.

04Current state

A complete multi-page prototype running locally: home, menu, specials, story, gallery, visit, and an ordering entry page. Content is sample data and all imagery is generic. Nothing is published or connected to an ordering system.
